How to Restart the Microsoft Exchange Store Information Service
Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will reach end of support on April 11, 2017. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
The Exchange store (Store.exe) is the core data storage repository for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is the service that starts and stops the Store.exe process. In some troubleshooting scenarios, you may need to restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
Before You Begin
To perform this procedure, the account you use must be delegated the following:
- Membership in the local Administrators group

Procedure
To restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service
Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
In Services, in the details pane, locate the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
Right-click the service, and then click Restart.
