HtmlTagContextAttribute.ReadValue method

The ReadValue method reads the attribute value or value part into a character array.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Exchange.Data.TextConverters
Assembly:  Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Common (in Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Common.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Function ReadValue ( _
    buffer As Char(), _
    offset As Integer, _
    count As Integer _
) As Integer
'Usage
Dim instance As HtmlTagContextAttribute
Dim buffer As Char()
Dim offset As Integer
Dim count As Integer
Dim returnValue As Integer

returnValue = instance.ReadValue(buffer, _
    offset, count)
public int ReadValue(
    char[] buffer,
    int offset,
    int count
)

Parameters

  • buffer
    Type: []

    When this method returns, it contains the specified character array with the values between index and (index + count - 1) replaced by characters read and converted from the stored attribute value.

  • offset
    Type: System.Int32

    The place in buffer at which to begin writing.

  • count
    Type: System.Int32

    The maximum number of characters to read. If the end of the attribute value is reached before count of characters is read into buffer, the current method returns.

Return value

Type: System.Int32
The ReadValue returns the number of characters read into buffer.

Remarks

For very long attributes, it is possible that this HtmlTagContextAttribute structure contains a truncated version of the attribute. Set the MaxCallbackTagLength property on the RtfToHtml or HtmlToHtml object to control the length of tags that HtmlTagContextAttribute objects can receive.

The ReadValue method can be called several times to read the complete attribute into a buffer of limited size.
