Deploying a Provider

Applies to: Office 2007 | Outlook 2010 | SharePoint Server 2010

The recommended method of deploying a Microsoft Outlook Social Connector (OSC) provider is to use a Microsoft Windows Installer (.msi) package. After downloading the installation package to a local hard disk, the Outlook end user installs the OSC provider. Once provider installation is complete, the user can connect to the OSC provider and provide logon credentials to the social network account. If the user decides to uninstall the OSC provider, the user can use Programs and Features in Control Panel to uninstall.
