Symptoms: One or more of the following symptoms might appear:

  • Slow performance of the Word, PowerPoint, or OneNote services.

  • Word and PowerPoint viewing is slow.

  • PowerPoint viewing fails.

Causes: One or more of the following might be the cause:

  • Too few servers on the farm.

  • Not enough additional hardware (for example, processors, RAM, hard disk drives).

  • Bad hardware.

Resolution: One or both of the following actions might resolve the issue:

  • Add more server computers to the farm as necessary.

  • Replace insufficient hardware as necessary.

  • Remove and replace bad hardware.
