owner

When security is being used, the user account that has control over a database or database object. By default, the user account that created a database or database object is the owner. Group accounts can't own databases, but can own database objects, in which case all members of that group own the object. An account that owns an object has irrevocable permissions for that object and can assign permissions for that object; an account that owns a database can always open that database.
