Parameter.ReadXml method

Reads the Parameter definition from the specified metadata XML for the specified method.

Parameters

• xml
  Type: System.String

  A string containing the metadata XML. The root element of the metadata XML must be the Parameter Element in Parameters (BDCMetadata Schema).

• errors
  Type: []

  A list of noncritical errors that occurred when reading the XML.

• packageContents
  Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Parser.PackageContents

  Options that specify which elements to read.

• method
  Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.Method

  The parent method that this Parameter is defined in.

Return value

Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.Parameter
The Parameter.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
ArgumentNullException	The xml parameter or the method parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
ArgumentException	The packageContents parameter does not have the PackageContents.Model value set.
