Mobile administration (SharePoint Foundation 2010)

Mobile views are enabled by default for most SharePoint lists and libraries. Users can access document libraries, lists, wikis, blogs, Web Parts pages, back-end business data, and sites from their mobile devices. Additional mobile features include:

  • Users can use the mobile search experience to find people, contact information, and content on SharePoint sites.

  • Users can subscribe to alerts that are sent by using Short Message Service (SMS). The alerts are sent to users' mobile devices when changes are made to a SharePoint list or item.

  • With Microsoft Office Web Apps, users can view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents in mobile browsers.
