Overview of ProClarity Server reports displayed in PerformancePoint Web Parts

Applies to: SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise

A ProClarity Server report is a report that was published to ProClarity Analytics Server. ProClarity is business analysis software that was available to you as a Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 user. Examples of ProClarity Server reports include a Performance Map, a Perspectives View, or a chart or grid that displays data that is stored in SQL Server Analysis Services.

You might consider including ProClarity Server reports in your dashboard if your organization has upgraded to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, but you have not yet replaced all the ProClarity reports that your organization is using.

Important

We recommend that you use applications, such as PerformancePoint Services and Excel Services, to create and publish reports for your dashboards.
ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 will only run as a 32-bit service, even if you are using a 64-bit operating system. In addition, you cannot export ProClarity content to 64-bit versions of Microsoft Excel or Microsoft PowerPoint. Because of these and other limitations, consider replacing ProClarity Server reports by using reports that you can create by using Dashboard Designer, Excel, or SQL Server Report Builder.

You can include a ProClarity Server report in your PerformancePoint dashboard by displaying it in a PerformancePoint Web Part that you create by using PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer. For more information, see Create a ProClarity Server report by using Dashboard Designer.
