Resolve
Start the Windows Server Solutions License Management Service
To resolve this issue, ensure that the Windows Server Solutions License Management Service is running on the Management Server.
To start the Windows Server Solutions License Management Service
- On the Management Server, click Start, point to Adminitrative Tools, and then click Services.
- In the Services pane, locate Windows Server Solutions License Management Service, right-click the service, point to All Tasks, and then click Start.
Verify
You can monitor your client access license (CAL) compliance in the Administration Console.
To verify CAL compliance
- Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, and then click Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.
- Click the Licenses tab, and then click License Management.
- In the results pane, review the Status of each of each CAL in your network for compliance with the licensing terms for Windows EBS. The details pane shows the number of CALs that are installed, assigned, and available for assignment.
