Downloading the SDK

 

Applies To: Service Bus for Windows Server 1.1

To start developing with the Service Bus for Windows Server, you must add a reference to the Service Bus for Windows Server SDK to your Visual Studio project.

Note: The Service Bus for Windows Server supports the same SDK as the Microsoft Azure Service Bus. However, because the two products have different schedules, the Service Bus for Windows Server SDK is managed and accessed as a separate NuGet package. The following diagram illustrates the Service Bus release cadence:

To add a reference to the Service Bus for Windows Server SDK

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click References, then click Manage NuGet Packages. This option only appears if you have the NuGet extension installed.

  2. In the Search box, type servicebus.v1_1. Click the Service Bus 1.1 for Windows Server item. Complete the installation and close this dialog.
