VAR (Report Builder)
Returns the variance of non-null values in a set.
Syntax
VAR(aggregate)
aggregate |
Specifies the field name or expression to aggregate. |
Remarks
- VAR assumes that its arguments are a sample of the population. If your data represents the entire population, then compute the variance using VARP.
- Logical values such as TRUE, FALSE, and text are ignored.

Returns the variance of the Sum Total Due. The value returned is similar to the following: 14771012.8532626. |
