FLOAT (Report Builder)

Converts a value to a float data type.

Syntax

FLOAT(value)

value

Indicates the number to convert to a float.

Remarks

  • Float data types allow you to be extremely precise in your calculations because your values are never rounded up or down.

Example

Formula Result

FLOAT(Tax Amt)

Converts each instance of the Tax Amt field to a float data type.

FLOAT(100/3)

33.3333333333
