Remarks

The MaxSize value must either be the string UNLIMITED or a nonnegative integer indicating the maximum log file size, with an optional suffix to indicate the unit of measure: kilobyte (KB), megabyte (MB), gigabyte (GB), or terabyte (TB). If the suffix is not specified, the default unit of measure is megabytes (MB).

If you specify UNLIMITED or do not specify a value, the file can grow until the disk is full or until the file is 2 TB.

Set the maximum log file size to at least 10 MB. Notification Services uses additional log space when you create and update the application.

For more information, see the max_size parameter in the CREATE DATABASE (Transact-SQL) topic.

Example

The following example shows how to specify that the log file can grow to 650 MB.

<MaxSize>650MB</MaxSize>
