Shared Data Source (General Tab, Report Designer)
Use the General tab of the Shared Data Source dialog box to display and modify connection information for a shared data source in the project. The other tab in the Shared Data Source dialog box is the Credentials tab. For more information about the options in that tab, see Shared Data Source (Credentials Tab, Report Designer).
Options
- Name
Type the name of the data source.
- Type
Select a data processing extension. The list displays all registered extensions. For more information about supported data types, see Data Sources Supported by Reporting Services.
- Connection string
Type a connection string for the data source. Click Edit to build the connection string using the Connection Properties dialog box.
