Information.VersionString Property

Gets the date, version, and processor type of the instance of Microsoft SQL Server.

Property Value

A String value that contains the date, the version, and the processor type of the instance of SQL Server.

Remarks

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

The maximum length is 15 characters. The format of the version number is as follows: 9.00.0xxx.00.

The product version is also returned by the @@VERSION (Transact-SQL) command.
