AlertType Enumeration

The AlertType enumeration contains values that are used to specify the type of event or performance condition that causes alerts to be raised.

Members

Member name Description
NonSqlServerEvent Specifies a system event.
SqlServerEvent Specifies an event such as an error or a message that is generated by the instance of Microsoft SQL Server.
SqlServerPerformanceCondition Specifies a condition applied to a specified Microsoft SQL Server performance counter. For example, the number of connections is greater than 10.
WmiEvent Specifies an event that is raised by the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider interface. This option is available for instances running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and later.

Remarks

The AlertType enumeration class is served by the AlertType property.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
