How to: Install Master Data Services

Run Master Data Services Setup to install the Master Data Services components and tools on the local computer.

Prerequisites

• For information about the requirements for the computer that runs Setup, see Setup Requirements (Master Data Services).

• For information about the available languages and supported multi-lingual deployment scenarios, see Multi-Lingual and Global Deployments (Master Data Services).

To install Master Data Services

1. Open the SQL Server installation media.

2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the MasterDataServices\x64\locale_ID folder and double-click MasterDataServices.msi.

3. Complete the Master Data Services Setup wizard.

4. Master Data Services Configuration Manager opens and automatically completes post-installation operations. For more information, see Installing and Configuring Master Data Services.
