Property Value

Type: Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.MemberPropertyCollection
A MemberPropertyCollection that contains a collection of member properties that is associated with the Member.

Remarks

Members have several intrinsic properties, such as Caption and UniqueName, that are implemented by the Member class. In addition, each member can be associated with one or more user-defined properties. These additional properties, which are called member properties, provide users with additional information about the member.

The MemberProperties property returns a collection of MemberProperty objects that represent the member properties that are associated with the Member. The actual contents of the collection depend on the source of the Member:

  • If the Member was referenced through a CubeDef in order to retrieve metadata from the server, the collection represents the member properties that are defined for the level of the member represented by the Member.

  • If the Member was referenced through a CellSet in order to retrieve metadata from a query, the collection represents the member properties that are retrieved for the set (or axis) that contains the member represented by the Member.

    Note

This property is always Empty if the Member is populated through GetSchemaObject.
