TransSubscription.PublisherName Property

Gets or sets the name of the Publisher when the subscription belongs to a non- SQL Server Publisher.

Remarks

When the PublisherName property is specified for a subscription that belongs to a SQL Server Publisher, an exception is thrown.

PublisherName is a required property and must be set before the subscription is created on the server. Once the subscription exists on the server, the PublisherName property cannot be changed.

The PublisherName property can only be retrieved by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher, by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database, or by the user who created the subscription.

The PublisherName property can only be set by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher or by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Retrieving the PublisherName property is equivalent to executing sp_helpsubscription (Transact-SQL).

Setting the PublisherName property is equivalent to executing sp_addsubscription (Transact-SQL).

The PublisherName property is available with SQL Server 2005 only.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.
