Field Settings Dialog Box

The Field Settings dialog box lets you assign a custom name to a field that you use as a display name in a PivotTable or chart. To access this dialog box, right-click a field in the PowerPivot Field List, and then click Rename. When you create a custom name, it does not change the unique name of the field that was created when the data was loaded into the workbook.
Table Name
Displays the name of the table where the field is located.Source Name
Displays the name of the field as it is in the data table.The names of fields must be unique within a table.
Custom Name
Type a name to use for display purposes within the current PivotTable.
