ScriptBuffer.AddRow Method

Adds an empty new row to the data flow buffer.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline
Assembly:  Microsoft.SqlServer.TxScript (in Microsoft.SqlServer.TxScript.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Protected Sub AddRow
'Usage
Me.AddRow()
protected void AddRow()
protected:
void AddRow()
member AddRow : unit -> unit
protected function AddRow()

Remarks

The Script component developer does not use the ScriptBuffer class directly, but indirectly, through the derived classes in the BufferWrapper project item that represent the component's input and outputs.

The developer uses the AddRow method of the derived classes to add rows to output buffers in source components and in transformations with asynchronous outputs.

Examples

The following code sample demonstrates the use of the AddRow method to copy input columns manually to an output buffer. For the more information and the complete sample, see Creating an Asynchronous Transformation with the Script Component.

Public Overrides Sub MyAddressInput_ProcessInputRow(ByVal Row As MyAddressInputBuffer)

  With MyAddressOutputBuffer
    .AddRow()
    .AddressID = Row.AddressID
    .City = Row.City
  End With

  ...

End Sub
