IDtsTaskUI.Initialize Method
Associates a user interface with its task. Called by the client, which is usually the designer application.
Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Design
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Design (in Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Design.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Sub Initialize ( _
taskHost As TaskHost, _
serviceProvider As IServiceProvider _
)
'Usage
Dim instance As IDtsTaskUI
Dim taskHost As TaskHost
Dim serviceProvider As IServiceProvider
instance.Initialize(taskHost, serviceProvider)
void Initialize(
TaskHost taskHost,
IServiceProvider serviceProvider
)
void Initialize(
TaskHost^ taskHost,
IServiceProvider^ serviceProvider
)
abstract Initialize :
taskHost:TaskHost *
serviceProvider:IServiceProvider -> unit
function Initialize(
taskHost : TaskHost,
serviceProvider : IServiceProvider
)
Parameters
- taskHost
Type: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.TaskHost
The TaskHost of the task.
- serviceProvider
Type: System.IServiceProvider
The https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=33994 IServiceProvider interface provided by the designer.
Remarks
The first parameter, taskHost, can be used by the client code to access the Variables collection found on the task host, or to view the DtsErrors collection.
When an entry point to the task's user interface is invoked, the designer calls this Initialize method, implemented by the task user interface, and provides the TaskHost and the service provider as parameters. These objects are stored locally and used in any subsequent method calls.
