BackupRestoreBase.NoRecovery Property

Gets or sets a Boolean property value that determines whether the tail of the log is backed up and whether the database is restored into the Restoring state.

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
A Boolean value that specifies whether the tape is rewound at the end of the operation.If True, the tail end of the log is not backed up. When restored, the database is in the Restoring state.If False (default), the tail end of the log is backed up.

Remarks

The NoRecovery property is used only when the log is backed up. The NoRecovery property is useful when failing over to a secondary database or when saving the tail of the log prior to a restore operation.
