Service Cannot Connect to the Peer Service in the Destination Site
The following misconfiguration message can appear when a component of a server or client is unable to connect to a component on the destination server in the destination site:
<ApplicationServiceName> on <ServerName> in <SiteName> is unable to connect to <TargetServiceName> in <TargetSiteName>
Typically, this adjustment message appears when you have removed a component from one site and you have not added the component to another site.
To make the required adjustments, use one or more of the following procedures:
- To edit a server role in the Model Editor in the How to Edit a Server Hardware Configuration or a Server Role in the Model Editor topic to add the component to a computer that is connected to the network
- To add a site-to-site connection in the Model Editor in the How to Add a Site-to-Site Connection or a WAN Connection in the Model Editor topic to add a network connection between the site where the component is located and the target component's site
- To add a WAN connection in the Model Editor in the How to Add a Site-to-Site Connection or a WAN Connection in the Model Editor topic to add a network connection between the site where the component is located and the target component's site
