Optional configuration tasks

You can enable optional Data Protection Manager (DPM) features during initial configuration or at any time after DPM is deployed. By performing optional configuration tasks, you can:

• Enable end-user recovery

• Configure the SMTP server for e-mail notifications and reports

• Subscribe to notifications

• Activate reporting

• Modify the auto discovery schedule

• Publish existing DPM alerts to Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)
