Persistent Recovery Points

The DPM System Recovery Tool allows you to lock recovery points so that they are always available - regardless of pruning settings. From the Recovery Points node, you can lock recovery points for your systems. Recovery points that are locked display a small gold lock on the lower right corner of the icon.
Locking Recovery Points Listed in the Central Node
Recovery points that are stored in the primary and secondary File Stores are listed under the Central node. You can lock recovery points by date or for specific computers.
The following procedure locks the recovery point for all systems included in the selected recovery point. You can also lock recovery points for an individual computer by selecting the computer and selecting Lock Recovery Point from the Action menu.
To lock recovery points by date
Select a recovery point from the Central node.
Click Lock Recovery Points from the Action menu.
