Manually Installing the Agent

You can manually install the DPM System Recovery Tool agent on computers that do not have File and Printer Sharing enabled.

Tip

To open a command window, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

Note the following:

  • The RMAgent.msi file will install the RMAGENT as a service with a manual start-up type.

  • The default installation folder is %PROGRAMFILES%\.

  • The default port setting is 21062.

To install the agent manually

  1. Copy the agent RMAgent.msi from the DPM System Recovery Tool installation directory to the client.

  2. Double-click the RMAgent.msi file.
