Instance is the data for a reported individual software-inventoried file in Configuration Manager.

Type: Parent.

Instances: One or more.

Attributes

Attribute Description

ParentClass

Not used. This value should be the same as the class value.

Class

The reported Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) class for this instance.

Namespace

The namespace path to this instance.

Content.

Used to update existing values in the database. Possible values are:

"new" - to be added to the Configuration Manager database.

"deleted" - deletes the matching entry in the Configuration Manager database.

"updated" - replaces the existing value in the Configuration Manager database.
