Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2 SP1 Release Notes

This document describes new functionality and known issues in the Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) release.
Overview
Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2 Service Pack 1 is a cumulative update that contains the following new features and improvements:
- Integration Pack for UNIX adds file management and process management for UNIX systems to Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2.
Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2 Service Pack 1 resolves the following past known issues:
File Management Objects
The Monitor File object detects files when using wildcards for two file name patterns.
Monitor File and Monitor Folder objects detect changes after losing connectivity to the monitored computer.
Published Data File Name is present in the Monitor File object.
The Monitor File and Monitor Folder objects do not lose events when large sets of files are modified in the monitored folder.
Integration Pack for HP OpenView Operations (UNIX)—The agent that is deployed to the OpenView Operations Solaris system is now compatible with the Monitor Message retry functionality.
Integration Pack for HP OpenView Operations (Windows)—The Monitor Message object does not cause a memory leak in Java.exe.
Operator Console—The URL trigger functions appropriately when sending requests.
Integration Pack for IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console 5.50—Updated installation instructions. For details, refer to the Opalis Integration Pack for IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console 5.50 Release Notes.

File Management Objects

IP for HP OVO (UNIX)
The Integration Pack for HP OVO (UNIX) requires all of the following:
HP OpenView Operations 8 for Sparc Solaris Version 9
The ITOSOL_00403 and ITOSOL_00438 patches must be applied to the HP OpenView Operations server
Oracle OCI must be installed on the HP OpenView Operations server
The following environment variables must be configured. See the Oracle documentation for information about configuring the environment variables.

The libgcc-3.4.1-sol9-sparc-local.gz package must be installed. This package is included with Solaris 9 or can be obtained through Oracle Support.
The following files must be located under the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. The default location for each file is shown in brackets.

Instructions
The components of Service Pack 1 are extracted to the location you specify in the following procedure. After you extract the files, you can review and select the individual components that you want to install on the Management Server, Action Servers, and Clients, as specified in the installation instructions for each component.
To extract the Opalis Integration Server 6.2.2 Service Pack 1 files
Double-click OpalisServicePack1.exe.
Click Yes to start the file extraction process.
Click Yes to accept the License Terms.
Click OK.
Confirm that Unzip to folder contains the desired destination for the extracted files. We recommend that you extract the Service Pack 1 files to [System drive]:\OpalisSP1 so that you can easily install the components of this service pack.
Click Unzip.
Confirm that 18 files have been extracted successfully, and then click Close. For more information aboutinstalling the individual components of this service pack, see Installing Service Pack 1 Components.
Known Issue
On page 34 of the “Opalis Integration Server Administrator Guide” step 14 should contain the following text:
14. If you are using Active Directory authentication, you need to configure Active Directory Integration. Open the following file:
<JBOSS>\server\default\deploy\opalis-activedirectory-service.xml.
Edit <attribute name="JndiUrl"> with the following syntax ldap://<ADServer>:<ADPort>/<DomainDN>
Where <ADServer> is the name of your Primary Domain Controller, <ADPort> is the LDAP port used to communicate to your Primary Domain Controller, and <DomainDN> is the distinguished name of the domain tree that will have access to the Operator console.
Edit <attribute name="AdministratorGroup"> to specify the Active Directory group that will be Administrators on the Operator Console.
