Configuring Package Conversion Manager in Configuration Manager

Package Conversion Manager is a feature pack download for System Center 2012 Configuration Manager. Before installing Package Conversion Manager, you must have a Configuration Manager primary site or central administration site installed and configured.

Before installing Package Conversion Manager, you must download the Package Conversion Manager installation program, PCMSetup.exe.

To download Package Conversion Manager, see the Microsoft Download Center.

To install Package Conversion Manager

  1. On a computer running the Configuration Manager console, create a folder for the Package Conversion Manager installation program. Suggested name: PCM.

  2. Download the Package Conversion Manager installation program, PCMSetup.exe, from the Microsoft Download Center, and save it in the folder you created.

  3. Run PCMSetup.exe and then follow the on-screen instructions.

    Package Conversion Manager is added to the Configuration Manager console, and no additional configuration is required. Package Conversion Manager menu items and icons will be displayed in the Configuration Manager console when you next open it.
