How to Create a User Role in App Controller
Updated: June 1, 2015
Applies To: System Center 2012 - App Controller, System Center 2012 SP1 - App Controller, System Center 2012 R2 App Controller
The procedures in this section explain how to create a user role that can deploy and manage services to one or more Windows Azure subscriptions or hosting providers.
To create a user role
In the Settings node, click User Roles, and then click New.
On the General tab, specify a User role name and Description. Then specify whether or not this user role is a Read-only role. A read-only role will not be able to make any changes to a Windows Azure subscription.
On the Members tab, add Active Directory users or groups to the role.
On the Scope tab, do one or both of the following:
Select any Azure subscriptions that you want the user role to access.
For System Center 2012 SP1 only: Under Service provider connections, select any hosting service providers that you want the user role to access.
Click OK.
