Hiding Group Membership
Sometimes it is necessary to hide the members of a mail-enabled group to protect the privacy of the recipients. To hide group membership for a mail-enabled group object, the Exchange Administrator must have the Exchange delegated role, Exchange View-Only Administrator (or higher), on the target administrative group. In addition, the Exchange Administrator must have Read and Write access to the following membership attributes:
hideDLMembership
oOFReplyToOriginator
permissions
reportToOriginator
reportToOwner
Note
The permissions attribute is not a property of group objects. It is an object right for the group class object (for example, grant Read and Modify Permissions). For information about how to set this attribute correctly, see the Hiding Group Membership DSACLS snippet text file.
