How to Create a New Storage Group

To create a storage group in an Exchange server, perform the following procedure.

To create a new storage group

  1. In Exchange System Manager, right-click the server where the new storage group will reside, point to New, and then click Storage Group.

  2. When prompted, type a name for the storage group.

    Exchange provides default values for Transaction log location and System path location. You can change the defaults now, or you can change these values later.
