On the Firewall Chaining tab:
- To use the primary connection method of ISA Server to access the Internet, click Use the primary connection.
- To forward the request to an upstream ISA Server computer, click Chain to this computer and type the computer name in the text box.
If you selected Chain to this computer, do the following:
- If the requested application requires authentication, select the Use this account check box and click Set Account.
- In User, type a domain name and user name using the following format:DomainName\UserName
- In the Password and Confirm password text boxes, type the password.
Note
To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand Array_Name, expand Configuration, and then click General.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, expand Configuration, and then click General.
Important
In a Web Proxy chaining scenario, user names and passwords can be specified using 7-bit characters only. Otherwise, Integrated Windows authentication will fail on the downstream proxy server.
We recommend that you specify the upstream computer's IP address, rather than its name. Also, on the upstream computer, configure the Firewall Client settings to manually select an ISA Server computer. Then, specify an IP address for the ISA Server computer, rather than a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
