Mapping your deployment goals to a publishing design

After you have identified your Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) publishing deployment goals (see Identifying your remote access deployment goals), select a design that meets each of your deployment objectives, as shown in the following table.

Deployment goal	Design guide
Publish internal backend applications, or a Web server farm	Planning for application and server farm publishing
Allow VPN client access to the internal network	Planning for internal network access
