Status bar
The status bar displays information about your current editing modes, such as visual aids mode, style application mode, rendering mode, and page size mode. The status bar also displays information about the file you are editing, such as file size, HTML schema, and CSS schema.
Tip
You can move the pointer over an item in the status bar for more information or to change options.
To show or hide the status bar
On the Tools menu, click Application Options.
In the Application Options dialog box, on the General tab, under General, clear or select Show status bar.

View the mode in which Microsoft Expression Web displays your files. Quirks indicates that the Expression Web is rendering in Quirks mode. The rendering mode is determined by the DocType declaration in the page. Double-click the mode to open the Page Editor Options dialog box. For more information, see Set document type information. |

View the current page size of the editing window. Click to change the page size. For more information, see Add or modify a page size. |

View the HTML schema that Expression Web applies to the current page. Double-click to open the Page Editor Options dialog box. For more information, see Set document type information. |
