Customizing the Diagram

The diagram is the main presentation area of a domain-specific language designer. Most of the time, users will use the diagram to construct their models. You can customize the diagram as follows:

  • You can change the properties of the diagram. For more information about diagram properties, see Properties of Diagrams.

  • You can set a background image for the diagram. For more information about how to set background images, see How to: Set a Diagram Background Image.

  • You can expose style properties of the diagram.

Exposing Style Properties

You can expose the Fill Color and TextColor properties of the diagram in a domain-specific language designer. When the Fill Color property is exposed, users can change the background color of the diagram. The TextColor property can be exposed, but it has no effect on the diagram.
