How to: View and Sort Work Item Query Results Lists (Team System Web Access)

You can run queries on work items and display them in a query results list in Team System Web Access. You can then sort the results to modify how they are presented.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Readers group or have the View work items in this node permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To view and sort work item query results lists

  1. In Team System Web Access, click the Work Items page.

  2. Under Team Queries, click a work item query.

  3. Sort the work item query results list to change the display order by clicking a column heading.

    For example, if you want to view work items sorted numerically by work item number, click the ID column header. Click it again to reverse the sort order.

    Note

    The query definition determines the default sorting method. Changing the sort order does not change the query definition. The default sorting method appears when you run the query again.

  4. To display the work item query results list in a separate window, click Run in New Window.
