Namespace: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design
Assembly: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design (in Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Protected Overridable Sub OnCreated ( _
e As EventArgs _
)
protected virtual void OnCreated(
EventArgs e
)
protected:
virtual void OnCreated(
EventArgs^ e
)
abstract OnCreated :
e:EventArgs -> unit
override OnCreated :
e:EventArgs -> unit
protected function OnCreated(
e : EventArgs
)
Parameters
- e
Type: System.EventArgs
An EventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
The OnCreated method is called by the Instance property when an instance that represents the global object is actually created.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnCreated method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding OnCreated in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnCreated method so that registered delegates receive the event.
