Remarks

Although this API supports the Extension Manager infrastructure, we recommend that you do not use it because it is subject to change.

An extension is considered a system component by the extension manager service if the SystemComponent element of its VSIX manifest has a value of true.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
