How to: Change the Display Order of Actions in the File Types Editor
The File Types Editor can be used to specify the display order of actions for a file type. The order in which actions appear in the File Types Editor determines the order in which they will appear in the context menu when the user selects that file type in Windows Explorer.
Note
Your computer might show different names or locations for some of the Visual Studio user interface elements in the following instructions. The Visual Studio edition that you have and the settings that you use determine these elements. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.
To change the order of actions
Select a Document Action node in the File Types Editor.
On the Action menu, click Move Up or Move Down.
Note
The first action displayed for a file type is always the default action. Moving an action to the topmost position makes that action the default.
