VSConstants.UICONTEXT_DesignMode Field
Specifies the UI context for design mode.
Namespace: Microsoft.VisualStudio
Assembly: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.12.0 (in Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.12.0.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Shared ReadOnly UICONTEXT_DesignMode As Guid
public static readonly Guid UICONTEXT_DesignMode
public:
static initonly Guid UICONTEXT_DesignMode
static val UICONTEXT_DesignMode: Guid
public static final var UICONTEXT_DesignMode : Guid
Remarks
A successful call to GetCmdUIContextCookie with UICONTEXT_DesignMode as the first parameter returns the GUID value of the command UI context associated with this specific UI state.
The new UI context (which in this case is UICONTEXT_DesignMode) may be retrieved with a call to OnCmdUIContextChanged.
This method is not valid (will return E_FAIL) when the IDE is in Command Line Mode.
UICONTEXT_DesignMode is active when the Visual Studio is in design mode (as opposed to, say, debugging mode), regardless of the presence of specific packages
