This class defines the reference mechanism to a SAML2 token in a SOAP message. It can be used even when the SAML2 token is not part of the SOAP message to reference a token that is already known to the receiving endpoint. In this case, the reference is used by the endpoint to look up the corresponding token, possibly by using a SecurityTokenResolver object.
