[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. Gets or sets the default token type (_defaultTokenType property) used in token issuance. The string values are specified in URI format, for example, for SAML 1.1 token type following is the string value: “http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/oasis-wss-saml-token-profile-1.1#SAMLV1.1”

Property Value

Returns a string that contains the default token type.

Exceptions

Exception type	Condition
ArgumentNullException	The provided value is null or empty.
ArgumentException	The provided value is not defined in the token handlers.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
