There are three types of inbound data supplied by your Web app to the Content Decryption Module (CDM) and one type of outbound data generated from CDM and supplied to your Web app.

The data format is used by your Web app to generate and parse the data.

This section describes the following inbound and outbound data formats.

Initialization Data (initData)

The container-specific data that is used by a Content Decryption Module to generate a key request.

Content Decryption Module Data (CDMData)

Provides custom data for a particular content protection system.

Key Message (keyMessage)

Provides the information required to be sent as a challange to the license acquisition server.
