DMO_REGISTER_FLAGS enumeration (dmoreg.h)

[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]

The DMO_REGISTER_FLAGS enumeration defines flags that specify registry information for a Microsoft DirectX Media Object (DMO).

Syntax

typedef enum DMO_REGISTER_FLAGS {
  DMO_REGISTERF_IS_KEYED = 0x00000001
} ;

Constants

DMO_REGISTERF_IS_KEYED
Value: 0x00000001
Use of the DMO is restricted by a software key.

Remarks

A software key enables the developer of a DMO to control who uses the DMO. If a DMO has a software key, applications must unlock the DMO to use it. The method for unlocking the DMO depends on the implementation. Consult the documentation for the particular DMO.
