INetFwProfile::get_FirewallEnabled method (netfw.h)

[The Windows Firewall API is available for use in the operating systems specified in the Requirements section. It may be altered or unavailable in subsequent versions. For Windows Vista and later, use of the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security API is recommended.]

Indicates whether the firewall is enabled.

This property is read/write.

Syntax

  VARIANT_BOOL *enabled
);

None

Remarks

The resulting firewall status is based on the local policy from the local store. Use the procedure Checking the Effective Firewall Status to determine the overall operational state.
