The HandleTheirCompareStatesResponse method processes the response from comparing states with the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC).

Syntax

HRESULT HandleTheirCompareStatesResponse (

[in] DTCLUCOMPARESTATE  CompareState  ,

[out] DTCLUCOMPARESTATESCONFIRMATION *  pConfirmation

);

Parameters

CompareState
[in] A DTCLUCOMPARESTATE struct that contains information needed to compare states.

pConfirmation
[out] A pointer to a DTCLUCOMPARESTATESCONFIRMATION struct that contains the confirmation of a state comparison.

Return Values

This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG and E_UNEXPECTED, as well as the following:

S_OK
Method completed successfully.

XACT_E_CONNECTION_DOWN
The connection is down.
