IDtcLuRecoveryInitiatedByDtcTransWork::CheckForCompareStates

The CheckForCompareStates method checks to see whether the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) wants to compare states. This method must be called after the log name exchange (XLN) protocol has been completed.

Syntax

HRESULT CheckForCompareStates (

[out] BOOL *  fCompareStates

);

Parameters

fCompareStates
[out] A pointer to a Boolean value that is true if the MSDTC wants to compare states; otherwise, false.

Return Values

This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY and E_UNEXPECTED, as well as the following:

S_OK
Method completed successfully.

XACT_E_CONNECTION_DOWN
The connection is down.
