RequestTimeout

Note

Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.

The RequestTimeout entry is the amount of time a query client should wait before it returns a failure to connect to a named pipe instance in Indexing Service.

Units: Milliseconds
Default: 10000 (10 seconds)

If Indexing Service is not running, the client immediately returns a failure to connect.
